Re: Sanguinololu layout

I would think a shorted reset line would definitely cause constant resets. But before you remove the button, I've got a few questions: 1.) Does your continuity checker have a resistance setting? Check...

Endstops acting odd :S

Well, here's a bit of what I've got to fix: [imgur.com] It reads two endstops pressed when only one has been. It seems to be affecting the Z axis, then somehow seems to "infect" the Y axis switch. for...

Sanguinololu & opto endstops :S

Re: Endstops acting odd :S

Well, that did give me an idea of using metal tape to wrap my cables.... I just hope that its enough to stop the EM signals from "jumping ship" to trigger both switches. Thanks for the idea! EDIT:...

Re: Sanguinololu & opto endstops :S

Re: Sanguinololu & opto endstops :S

Also check pinout of these connectors. IIRC pinout of Gen3 and Sanguinololu are different and shorting 5V to GND isn't exactly a good idea :)

Re: Endstops acting odd :S

Well, maybe that idea isn't working so well... I'm starting to think that my motherboard has a short somewhere, because no matter what I do, whether I switch it to a known good switch and cable, it...

Re: Sanguinololu & opto endstops :S

Thanks Dust, that worked perfectly :) I am a bit embarrased since I missed this info on the wiki page. And Traumflug, yes, I had already switched two wires on my cables, as the pinout is a bit...

Flyback diode on sanguinololu heated bed control board.

Hey everyone. I started getting uncomfortable with the mosfet and traces running my heat-bed on my Sanguinololu. So I made a small relay board to do the heavy lifting. I have a couple of questions...

Re: Flyback diode on sanguinololu heated bed control board.

Flyback diodes have no influence as long as current is flowing. They mean to carry away current generated when coils are turned off. As a heated bed is no coil, they have nothing to do at all. Nice...
